    Your time is valuable

Managing a busy legal practice is stressful and time consuming. You, as legal practitioner, will pour a vast amount of energy, expertise and often financial resources into a particular matter so as to provide your client with the best possible service and legal representation.

The majority of busy and successful legal practices simply do not have the necessary time, manpower or resources available to draft Bills of Costs.

The drafting of a proper Bill of Costs, whether between party and party or attorney and own client capable of successfully passing scrutiny by your opposition, client and/or the taxing official, requires experience, skill and an intimate knowledge of the Law of Costs.

Should you elect to draft Bills of Costs in a particular matter, you will be required to set aside the time to attend to this arduous and protracted process. Time which you as a legal practitioner, more often than not, do not have to spare, and which could be spent more effectively and lucratively.

However, the fact remains that you had spent your billable hours, knowledge, expertise and resources on the matter, and it is therefore of paramount importance that you not only recover every cent in allowable fees and disbursements through an expertly drafted bill, but also that this be done as expeditiously as possible.

Ultimately though, due to time constraints and having to attend to more urgent issues, the drafting of a bills is placed on the proverbial back burner, and delayed for prolonged and hardly affordable periods of time because you, quite simply, did not have the time or opportunity to attend thereto.
